Meadowbrook Farm was purchased into public ownership and then deeded jointly to the City of Snoqualmie and the City of North
Bend in three phases beginning in 1993, facilitated by the Trust for Public Land. The package of funding for the 460 contiguous
acres included 1989 King County Open Space Bond and Conservation Futures, Washington State Interagency Council for Outdoor
Recreation funding, contributions from both cites, and a generous donation in value from the local landowners. The property
acquisition was completed in 1996.
The Meadowbrook Farm Preservation Association is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization formed by Snoqualmie and
North Bend for the purpose of day-to-day management of Meadowbrook Farm. The volunteer board includes members
appointed by the Cities of Snoqualmie
and North Bend ,
the Snoqualmie Tribe, the
Snoqualmie Valley School District,
the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Society,
King County, and the
Mountains to Sound Greenway, as well as staff
representatives from each city, and many community members. The MFPA works with both cities to enhance historic
interpretation, wildlife habitat, ongoing agriculture, public recreation and community gatherings, guided by the
Meadowbrook Farm Master Site Plan. Interested in Meadowbrook? Come to a monthly meeting or work party!

The Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center building is a beautiful new structure designed by architect Pat Fels to provide an
all-weather venue for historic and cultural interpretation as well as classes, meetings and a focal point for
other events on Meadowbrook Farm. Funding for construction includes grants from the Bullitt
Foundation, the Ferguson
Foundation, King County Capital Projects for Heritage (4 Culture),
Washington State Historical Society Heritage Capital Projects
and funds from both owner-cities. In addition, many generous in-kind donations-- including construction oversight by
John Day of John Day Homes — and many volunteer hours have made the building a reality. Visit to enjoy our display of
Meadowbrook history photos, come to a class, or hold your special event here! Reservations for the Interpretive Center
building are made through the Si View Metropolitan Parks District office in North Bend, at 425.831.1900.
